STAMP IT

An Post have just released the Wedding Stamp Edition for 2011…

“The stamp features a classic black and white photographic image of a newly married couple, in a loving embrace and sheltering under a shared umbrella.”

A big change from last years very colourful illustrated lovebirds stamp. What are your thoughts do you prefer this years edition?

If this years wedding stamp is not for you, why not consider choosing from the collection of special edition stamps available from An Post. Myself and Alan chose the Czeslaw Slania Commemorative Stamp, we felt the beautiful etching depicting a scene from the ballet Romeo and Juliet fit the style and tone of our wedding and stationery perfectly.

  1. I was just taking photographs of a wedding umbrella for a blog post for tonight! I like the graphic illustration from last year. More upbeat than a rainy Irish wedding? Would have liked to see something more contemporary and quirky if it’s a photograph. Just my opinion :)

  2. I have to say I think I agree. Last years stamp was very stylised and wouldn’t suit all tastes but I think they’ve played it a bit too safe this year.
