I recently had the pleasure of designing and printing Ashling and Francis’ letterpress wedding stationery. Ashling and Francis are based in the UK but were married in The Village at Lyons in Ireland. After seeing some samples of our invitation booklets they decided it was the perfect option for them, giving their guest all the information they needed to attend their wedding day…
“I live in the UK and originally thought I’d source stationary here, but after many hours of research I could not find any letterpress designs I was happy with. Once I started looking further afield I came across Farrell and Chase’s website, and met Pamela at the RDS wedding fair where she showed me some of her beautiful designs. We ordered invitation booklets, RSVP cards and -more recently- thank you cards. Pamela was extremely helpful and professional, and everything we received was absolutely beautiful; the quality and finish was superb. So many of our guests commented on the stationary and we felt it set the perfect tone for our day.”
We can customise any of our wedding stationery designs and we also offer a bespoke design service. Working closely with you, we will customise your chosen stationery design or design a tailor made stationery suite to reflect you and your wedding style, helping you to make the perfect first impression for your wedding day.
I was thrilled to collaborated with Christina Brosnan recently on her beautiful Breakfast at Tiffany’s Inspired Love Shoot. I am a huge fan of the film and when Christina explained her ideas for the shoot I knew the results would be brilliant. I designed and printed two signs for the shoot, one with a quote from the film and the other with the lyrics to ‘Moon River’…

New York Fashion Week has now come to an end and after all of the unadulterated style inspiration I am taking a look at one of my favourite shows of the week, Marchesa’s ready to wear Spring Summer 2012 Collection. Flapper style fringing, tulle, chiffon and beading resulted in a truly beautiful collection which could be mistaken for vintage pieces…
I just love the Flapper style dress…
So beautifully romantic…
I’m so thrilled to see wedges with these beautiful gowns, the perfect choice for anyone like myself who just can’t wear heels.
What can I say, very daring but wow, walking up the isle in one of these gowns would surely result in ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from your guests.

As my regular readers will know, I’m a huge Jenny Packham fan, I really love her designs, so much so I wore her Papillon gown on my wedding day. I nearly cried taking it off, I felt so amazing wearing it and would love to have the opportunity to wear one of her designs again, a girl can dream!
For now I’ll have to settle for swooning over her Spring Summer 2012 collection, so beautiful…
I can see a certain princess in this beautiful white lace short dress…
This embroidered full length gown would make a stunning alternative choice for a bride…
What can I say, that red dress, wow!

I was delighted to design and print Donna and Tim’s letterpress wedding stationery. Donna and Tim had a very specific idea about what style they liked and after discussing all the options and various ideas we designed a bespoke wedding suite featuring lovebirds perched on an oak tree…
Donna and tim loved the effect of blind printing, printing without ink, which gives a beautifully subtle deboss in the cotton card so we blind deboseed the tree and lovebirds motif throughout. The invitation was designed as a booklet to include all the information about their wedding; accommodation, directions, travel, hair and beauty contacts etc. giving their guests all the information they could want or need.
“Pamela’s work is excellent, from the quality of the materials she uses to her designs, we’ve been delighted with what she produced for us. She listened to what we wanted and created an invitation that was just beautiful. She was a pleasure to work with and I’ve recommended her services to all our friends who are getting married.”

We had a very busy weekend exhibiting at The Wedding & Honeymoon Show…
It was a great show and we were delighted with the turnout and the response to our letterpress wedding stationery collection and particularly to our new design, Love Letters and Celtic Love Knot, which we launched at the show.
Our new wedding fans also proved very popular as did our wedding invitation booklets, postcard seating cards and tote bags, all perfect for destination weddings.
A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand over the weekend, we will be working hard over the next few days to answer all your enquiries.
I was delighted to design and print Suzanne and Fabien’s bilingual destination wedding stationery earlier this year. Suzanne and Fabien were married in June in Kefalonia, Greece and as Fabien is French and Suzanne is Irish they asked me to create bilingual stationery in their chosen design, Lovebirds…
“I love letterpress so it was an absolute joy when Fabien and I spotted the Farrell and Chase stand at the wedding show in the RDS. The designs, the quality of the paper and the colour of the inks used on all of the Farrell and Chase range, in my opinion, just stood out. I was totally obsessed with Pamela’s work and leaving the stand that day I knew I would contact her to arrange getting my invitations produced. As my husband is French and I am Irish we wanted our invitations to be bi-lingual and after meeting with Pamela she showed me a number of ways we could make this possible. I chose the lovebird suite and as I wanted a very specific blue as part of my invitation Pamela was able to mix it perfectly and she recommended some other complementary colours to use alongside it. The process was totally painless and Pamela is a total professional. She even gave us a beautiful pen in the silver we had chosen to write the guests names on, now that was attention to detail. I received numerous compliments on my invitations once I had sent them out and was delighted that it wasn’t only me who loved them. Thank you so much Pamela for my wonderful invitations. I would highly recommend using Farrell and Chase to anyone. Now that the wedding is over I’ll have to come up with another excuse of an event to get some more!”
Congratulations Suzanne and Fabien!

Who knows how to tie a Bow Tie? Not me and not Alan. I remember us fumbling over his bow tie on the way to a friends wedding last Winter, we didn’t have a clue.
If you’re planning a black tie wedding, why not add a little note with instructions on how tie a bow tie when sending your invitations to your guests?
