THE WEDDING JOURNAL SHOW BELFAST

We were exhibiting at The Wedding Journal Show in Belfast at the weekend, our first time exhibiting at the show, and it was a great success. We travelled up to Belfast on Thursday to set up for the show opening on Friday afternoon. The show ran for three days and was the busiest we have ever attended and we had a great response!

A huge thank you for everyone who attended the show and dropped by our stand and of course to the organisers for such a great show. We’ll be back in October.

I would like to wish a big congratulations to the five lucky winners of The Wedding Journal Show competition who all won a €100 Farrell & Chase wedding stationery gift voucher. Without further ado, they are Laura from Belfast, Clare from Belfast, Heather from Belfast, Amanda from Brighton and Christine from Cardiff.

WE WON!!!

I attended the WeddingsOnline.ie Awards, Ireland’s Top 100 Wedding Suppliers, last night and I am thrilled to tell you that Farrell & Chase won the award for Best Wedding Supplier Website!

This award really means allot to me as I designed the website myself, it has been a long process and of course the website is always evolving. I have to say a big thank you to Loughlin and Ian from Choice Cuts for all their advice and help on usability and technical matters.

We arrived at the Crowne Plaza Santry yesterday evening and enjoyed canapes and Champagne at the bar with a string quartet playing in the background. It was great to meet so many of the WOL suppliers and put faces to names. We were then called into the really beautiful banqueting room for dinner. We enjoyed a three course meal followed by a very inspiring speech from Bill Cullen and then, the awards began.

We were seated at a table with Jill FitzGerald, from Cake Toppers Ireland, and the  Trim Castle Hotel. Congratulations to Trim Castle Hotel who were shortlisted for Wedding Venue of the Year - Hotel (Leinster). And a big congratulations to Cake Toppers Ireland who won Best Wedding Industry Newcomer. An amazing award to win.

I was congratulating Jill for her award when I was announced as the winner (Best Wedding Supplier Website), I really couldn’t believe it. My heart was pounding and I just kept thinking, please don’t trip (high shoes) while I was walking up to accept the award. Needless to say we finished up the night with a few celebratory drinks!

Thank you to everyone at Weddings Online for a great night and of course a big thank you to all our past and present Bride and Grooms.

THE BRIDE OF THE YEAR SHOW 2010

A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand at The Bride of the Year Show last weekend!

We had a fantastic show, there was a great buzz around the stand throughout the weekend and we were delighted with the turnout. We’ll definitely be exhibiting again next year.

THE WEDDING JOURNAL SHOW BELFAST

We are delighted to be exhibiting at The Wedding Journal Show in the Kings Hall Belfast, February Friday 26th to Sunday 28th. We will be displaying our full range of custom letterpress wedding stationery and will be running a competition on the day as well as a special show offer to be announced soon.

DESIGN WEEK 2009

From November 2nd to 8th Design Week is a week long celebration of Irish and international design. The main purpose is to highlight the important contribution good design makes to the cultural and economic life of Ireland through fostering a reputation for creative excellence and innovation.

A key feature of this year’s programme is the huge increase in the number of events happening throughout Ireland. Numerous lectures, exhibitions, conferences and seminars are taking place in Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny, Limerick, Louth, Tullamore and Waterford.

Get involved and enjoy! Irish Design Shop are also taking part with lots of events throughout the week.
