Today I have the pleasure of sharing the custom Chantilly wedding stationery which I designed for Dearbhaill and Tom’s wedding in Carton House. Dearbhaill and Tom were very sure of which design they wanted and how they would like it customised. I printed their invitations, reply cards, information cards, a personal story card, order of service booklets and thank you cards.  Sadly I have no images of their wedding invitation but I can share the rest of their suite…

Their story card featured a bespoke motif of two swans with their names above, and on the reverse of the card they told the story of how they met and fell in love, this was sent with all of their invitations. A lovely personal touch setting the tone for their special day…

I printed a monogram of their initials on the flap of each купить кондиционер в интернет магазине в витебске envelope..

Thank you Michelle for sharing these images with us. See Dearbhaill and tom’s full wedding on One Fab Day.

Today I’m delighted to be featuring a bi-lingual weddings stationery suite which I designed for Rebecca and Matteo’s wedding in the Italian countryside just outside Bologna. Rebecca and Matteo chose our Fly Away suite, save the date cards, invitation booklets, reply postcards and order of service booklets. The save the date cards and the invitation booklets were printed in English for the Irish guests and Italian for their Italian guests and the information included inside the booklets was relevant to each set of guests. I also printed the reply postcards in both languages.

Rebecca and Matteo chose rose pink and silver as their ink colours to compliment the very pretty colour scheme chosen for their wedding day…

Amy & Colm’s 1920’s Inspired Mayo Wedding

I was thrilled to work with Amy and Colm designing their customised Floral Art Nouveau wedding stationery. When I first met Amy and she described her vision for their wedding day, I knew it was going to beautiful. Now I am delighted to share Amy and Colm’s wedding with you.  From the vintage decor to the fresh flowers, Amy’s stunning lace headpiece to the delicious recipee for love every little detail is perfection…

Colm’s parents are both from Connemara and we were both educated through Irish in North Dublin (where we met) so a large proportion of our ceremony was through Irish. We also included some little personal touches as Gaeilge on our confetti bags and invitations.”

“After lots of driving around the west of Ireland we arrived at Lisloughrey Lodge. The views were absolutely stunning over Lough Corrib but more importantly the atmosphere in the hotel was just so relaxed and beautiful. The lodge and accommodation were absolutely stunning and really suited our own individual style, I was instantly in love with it! Food was also really important to us and Lisloughrey was renowned for delicious food.”

“We wanted our day to be relaxed, fun and really enjoyable for our family and friends. Our wedding style was very feminine and romantic with hints of inspiration from the 1920’s to create an elegant vintage feel. The colours, textures, flowers and vintage props really helped to create our wedding experience.”

“I just wanted to take the time to thank you so much for our beautiful wedding invitations and stationary. I knew from the second that we met you at the Wedding & Honeymoon Show that we really wanted you to create our wedding stationary! Your letterpress designs were so unique, personal and of such beautiful quality that I knew we had to have you.

The stationary was one of the first things that we booked and created and set the tone for the rest of our wedding inspiration. I loved the fact that you had previously created bilingual stationary and how creative you were when it came to the designs and brining our ideas to life. We also loved all of the little added extras that you also had to offer like the gorgeous confetti bags, place names, seating and thank you cards.

What you delivered for us was beyond our expectations and our friends and family still comment on how unusual and beautiful our wedding invitation booklet and the entire stationary suite was. I will definitely be recommending you to all of my newly engaged friends!!”

Adele & Ian’s Elegant Tankardstown Wedding

I am delighted to be blogging Adele and Ian’s wonderfully chic wedding at Tankardstown House. I was lucky enough to design their stationery for their wedding day, they had a very specific style in mind so we worked together to create a bespoke design. It’s wonderful now to see how their stationery complimented their wedding style.

Adele and Ian chose Tankardstown House as the venue for their wedding, they were married in a civil ceremony in the Orengerie, and then held their reception in the main house. Tankardstiwn House is just down the road for me so I am very familar with it and it’s stunning grounds, it really is a beautiful wedding venue.

When I first saw the images of their wedding day, I fell in love with Adele’s wedding dress, she looks so elegant, very reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn! Their whole wedding just screams style.

”More than anything we wanted a laid-back day for us and our friends and family to enjoy – we actually made a 3 day event of the wedding with our immediate families staying in Tankardstown the night before & the night after the wedding so it felt a little bit like we were away on holidays. It also meant that the morning of the wedding was stress free. We all had a very relaxing breakfast together, everyone was on site and all the hair/makeup/barbers/flowers – everything came to us so there was no running around. All we had to do was sit back and sip champagne!”

“Pamela, thank you again for our fabulous wedding invitations. You delivered exactly what we wanted! The quality of your design is excellent and so many of our guest complimented us on the invitations. I would highly recommend your work to anyone who wants to create unique and elegant invitations that give their guests a hint of what to expect on the day!”

Last year I had the pleasure of designing and letterpress printing Anri and Anthony’s destination wedding stationery for their 10.10.10 wedding. They chose our Fly Away wedding suite which we customised for their French inspired wedding in South Africa. Anri and Anthony both met and live in London but chose to host their very chic wedding in South Africa where Anri grew up.

The French inspiration came from their love of France, “it’s intoxicating.. Anthony has a beautiful little maison on the river in Limoges where we spent six months in the summer. I got to love the French countryside and its people as much as the bustling city life in Paris and it was easy to draw inspiration from this.” Using this inspiration they wanted to add that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the style of their wedding stationery and throughout their wedding…

I was delighted to design and print save the date cards, invitations, RSVP postcards, menus, seating tags, gift boxes and thank you cards all inspired by vintage luggage tags, guide books and travel stamps.

“We wanted to thank you very much for the exceptional stationery you have produced for our wedding. It has been an absolute delight dealing with you and we are so pleased with the exquisite set which you have designed. It perfectly reflects all that is elegant and you have made for a fantastic experience and a very happy bride and groom! Our sincerest thanks.”
Anri & Anthony

I have to say when Anri sent me the images from their wedding they really took my breath away, she is a stunningly beautiful bride and their wedding is so gorgeous! You can see their full wedding and an interview with Anri featured on Fly Away Bride.

What do you think of Nicole Richie’s Marchesa wedding gown, one of the three looks she wore on her wedding day? She has definitely channelled the style of Grace Kelly, the most elegant bride of all time in my opinion. Everything from the lace bodice and long sleeves to the high bun hairstyle and long veil.

Grace Kelly’s wedding dress was designed by Helen Rose, wardrobe designer at MGM.  The MGM wardrobe department made the wedding dress as a gift from MGM. The wedding gown was made from antique Valenciennes rose point lace, twenty-five yards of silk taffeta and ninety eight yards of tulle.  Her veil was covered with appliquéd lace lovebirds and thousands of seed pearls. Stunning!

So what do you think,  will you be channeling the style of a famous past bride or do you think that it will only create comparisons; who can compete with the original and best? I love the idea of being inspired by vintage style and even by famous brides, but I think that’s what it should be, inspiration, which then develops into your personal style. It can be very easy to copy every single detail to achieve ‘the look’ but it’s only by adding your own personal touches that you ‘own’ the look.

Nicole’s skirt although still full was crafted from more than 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals making it very different Grace Kelly’s and she also had both of their names embroidered into the sleeve of her dress. Do you think that these elements along with other small touches make the dress, her dress? Did she strike the right balance?

I do think Nicole looks beautiful but I have to say it’s not the style that I expected. I thought she would be more of a bohemian style bride, a look that I think she pulls off so well and really suits her.

I’ve started thinking about our engagement shoot, myself and Alan are going to Rome in September, to celebrate my 30th birthday and to organise our wedding, I can’t wait! We have arranged to meet our photographer while we’re there to talk through all the arrangements for our wedding and to shoot our engagement photos around the amazing sites of Rome!

I’ve been looking at many beautiful engagement shoots for some inspiration, do we want a formal or informal shoot, something quirky and fun or romantic and classic? There are so many possibilities, but whatever we decide, hopefully we’ll have some fun and a giggle.

On my search for inspiration I came across Rina & Bram’s engagement shoot on Jennifer Skog’s website. The pictures are really stunning and caught my attention straight away. They are so romantic and really capture the mood of Rome, hopefully our pictures will be as nice…
